January

15th  - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 16609 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX. We will be installing new officers for the 2019 year at this meeting. Remember to bring a door prize.

 4th  - Highway trash clean-up day meet at the Target on Blanco Road outside loop 1604 at 9:00 AM.

 

14th  -  Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The scheduled speaker is scheduled to be William (Pat), Blackman. The topic will be Mary Todd Lincoln and Varina Davis: Two First Ladies caught in Tragic Times.   Remember to bring a door prize.  

 

 March

2nd -  National Flag Day Parade in Austin, Texas. Meet at the DOT parking lot just like in the years past. Be in line and ready to go at 8:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Float needs to be on location at 7:30 AM to rig up and be ready to go at 8:00 AM.  Staging area address; 118 East Riverside Drive, Austin, Texas 78704

 

14th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker at this meeting is scheduled to be the camps own Leslie Perry's wife-Paula on their family history. Remember to bring a door prize.

 

16th - Wrightsboro Cemetery-Confederate Hero’s Ceremony, Wrightsboro, TX (Gonzales Co.) @ 11:00 AM. Full honors include; reading the of the Confederate Soldiers names, a silent Black Rose Services from the TSOCR, Inc. Alamo Rose Chapter #4, Riffle Volley from the Trans-Mississippi Old Honor Guard, and a Cannon Salute from the San Antonio Cannoneers. Please be sure to pack your folding chairs, water and an umbrella (in case of weather). The Cemetery is located at the southern intersection of FM-108 and CR 118S (GPS:  29.36756,  -97,56675).


23rd- Pearsall Pioneer Day, Frio Pioneer Jail Museum - 501 S. Pecan St., Pearsall, Texas 78061. 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. 


30th - La Vernia Bluebonnet Parade,  Set Up & Line Up: 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM @ La Vernia High School 225 Bluebonnet Rd, La Vernia, TX 7812: Parade staff will direct you to our slot in the line-up. Judging: 9:00 AM & Step Off: 10:00 AM. This parade is only one mile long starting from the high school going North on FM 775 to HW 87, then left onto San Antonio St. towards La Vernia Park. Winners will be announced at the grandstand and presented there awards. Please be sure to bring water and an umbrella (just in case). Uniforms and Period Dress in requested. If you come in normal everyday cloths, please dress according to the weather. 


April

 6th -Tejeda History Fair: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Frank Tejeda Middle School, 2909 E. Evans Rd. San Antonio, TX 78259. The Artillery Crew and members of the Trans-Mississippi Old Guard will be on hand to educate parents, teachers, and students on Texas' roll in the War of Northern Aggression, with demonstrations on the cannon and rifles.


 6th - Poteet Strawberry Festival Parade, Lip up @ 9:00 AM, Steep Off @ 10:00 AM. The parade route will begin at the corner of FM 1470 and School Drive. Go South on 9th Street. Turn right onto Avenue H and continue to 4th Street. Turn north on 4th Street and go to School Drive. Turn right onto School Drive and end at Horton Lane.


 8th -  Highway trash clean-up day meet at the Target on Blanco Road outside loop 1604 at 9:00 AM

 

 11th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be Mark Phillips of the Col. A M Hobby Camp #713. Mark will speak about Nancy Hart's Militia. Be sure and remember to bring a door prize.


27th - Medina Co. Museum Heritage Festival, Medina Co. Museum  2202 18th Street Hondo, TX. 78861. We will be supporting Medina Co. Greys, Camp #2254 with a living historical camp on the museum grounds with members of the Trans-Mississippi and rifle demonstrations. 

 

 28th - Mark your calendar to come out and help to Honor Our Ancestors Sunday the 29th Confederate Decoration Day will be held at 2:00 PM at The Confederate Cemetery  San Antonio, Texas. The cemetery is located at the intersection of East Commerce and New Braunfels Street. 

 

May 

4th - Buc Day's Night Parade in Corpus Christi, TX., 8:00 PM. (Together with the Col. A.M. Hobby's Regiment, Camp #713)


9th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX.The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be Rusty Harris of the Lone Star Grey's Camo 1953. Rusty will speak about the Tejanos of the civil war. Be sure and remember to bring a door prize.

 

31st - June 2nd - SCV Texas Division Reunion & Convention: Hosted by the Major Robert M. White Camp No. 1250, at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center - Temple, Texas.

June

13th  - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be Joe Owen. The topic will be Hood's Texas Brigade at Eltham's Landing  May 7, 1862, and Gaines Mill June 27, 1862 


15th - Boerne Berges Fest Parade in Boerne, Texas. Set up - 7:00 AM, Rifle Check and Line up - 8:00 AM. Judging - 9:00 AM. Step Off - 10:00 AM. Float line up is at the Long Branch Saloon. Rifle fire along the parade route to WOW the crowds. 


29th - Luling Watermelon Thump Parade in Luling, Texas. ​Details will be announced soon!

 

 

  July

4th - Castroville Texas Parade - Castroville, TX. Set up is 7-7:45am.  We will be assigned a spot at that time.  Our float will be judged as we reach the starting point of the parade. It is not a long parade but well attended.  Color guard in advance of the float.


6th - Lakey Parade - Lakey, TX. Details will be announced soon!


10th - 13th Sons of Confederate Veterans National Reunion & Convention: Hosted by Admiral Raphael Semmes, Camp No. 11  at the Mobile Convention Center - Mobile, AL.

11th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be James Earl. The topic will be The True Grey.   


20th - The Annual Yesteryear Festival at the Longhorn Museum, Pleasanton, TX. 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Set up at 8:00 AM. We will have a living history camp and recruiting booth with black powder rifle demonstrations.

  

August 

8th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be Rusty Harris Commander of Lone Star Greys Camp 1953. Rusty will speak about the modern day soldier carrying the Confederate Flag into battle. Remember to bring a door prize.        

 

 

September 

 

12th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be Compatriot John McCammon of the Lone Star Gray's, Camp #1953. His program will be on General Nathen Bedford Forrest.


14th - 15th - Medina Co. Fair & Parade - Hondo, TX.


 

October 

 

 10th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. The speaker for this meeting is scheduled to be Mrs. Eileen Lehmberg, Chapter President of the TSOCR, Inc.-Alamo Rose, Chapter #4. Her program is entitled "The Working Women of the Confederacy". Remember to bring a door prize. 

 

 

November 

14th - Camp monthly meeting at 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. No speaker scheduled for this meeting. We will be electing officers for the upcoming year of 2020.


23rd - Comfort Christmas Parade - Comfort, TX.

 

 

 

December

 12th - Camp Christmas Party/Meeting !! 7:00 PM. Chester's Hamburger Company - 1006 NE Loop 410 San Antonio, TX. No Speaker Scheduled. Bring any unwrapped gifts to be donated for the San Antonio Children's Shelter and don't forget to bring a door prize for the drawing!
